Sounds fathers enjoy....

There's tons of sounds father's enjoy. I heard another one of them this evening.

Matthew and my wife had gone for a walk around the neighborhood and were late coming back for his bath time. So I grab my shoes and sit down on the porch to put them on and go look for them. As I'm getting up to go I hear the distinctive staccato flap-flap of running sandals hitting sidewalk.

Heh. Yes, that's a fabulous sound. My teensy 19 lb daughter sounds like an entire herd of elephants when she runs across the hardwood floor.

Whoever coined the phrase "the pitter-patter of little feet" did not have a child.
