No sleep till..
Nov. 22nd, 2004 02:10 pmThose among my generation would probably say, "Brooklyn," but leaving that alone..
On friday night I was absolutely exhausted from work, so we called our safety valve, Sarah, who gave us some time to both crash out before 8 o'clock. After Joan of Arcadia, I took Matthew from then till three in the morning and things were going pretty well, until my wife's asthma attack around six or so. That kind of got in the way of my three to ten sleep plan. Oh well.
Then during the day I took Matt to Sarah and Ron's house to see their cat. Apparently it's good for children to be exposed to allergens early. It can decrease their risk of developing the allergies later in life. It was also a good test of how their cat, Jack, would react to a baby. The general consensus was that Jack didn't really seem to mind him. The major concern now is what would happen if Jack were to try and climb into the cradle with their own, not as yet conceived etc, son. Unfortunately Jack can open doors, which means the basic solution of closing said nursery door is not one.
I also got to pick up comic books for the first time in seven weeks. There were a bunch waiting for me, so I was very happy.
Then I took Matthew again until about 3 in the morning Sunday as well. That wasn't too bad, my wife didn't have an asthma attack so I got to sleep in some. But we had to rush a little more than usual to give Matthew a bath and do some cleaning since our friend came over. So no nap again. However I did get to some of the comic books. So that was nice.
Sunday night I stayed up again, this time only till about 12:30-12:45. Though I should have gone to bed earlier. Especially since Matthew was fussy from about 7:30 till 10:30 last night for no particular reason. Sigh....
My own fault, I've got to make an effort to rest more.
