We have have come to an unspoken agreement on how much we cheat on the "no gift" spoken agreement.

We both bought flowers and a card for each other, but neither of us got a "gift" for each other.

Speaking of the cards. Both of us are fans (hmm... fans isn't the right word.. patrons?) of the Fresh Ink line. We find those cards best suit our humor so, once again, both of us independently chose one of them and considered the one the other person chose.

Anyway, the one I chose said something to the effect of "I'd throw myself on a bee for you" and on the inside it says "Totally, I'd really do it." Like I said, my wife considered the card too which is kinda funny because she's allergic to bees. The more I thought about it, the more I thought that she'd "totally" wins the whole self-sacrifice angle of the card by being willing to throw herself onto the bee while simultaneously being allergic.

She told me she didn't choose the card because she knew this conversation would come up.
We can have a rational discussion about money. We have a financial planning situation that we need to get straightened out. This morning, we collected data, evaluated our options and, initially, came to different conclusions. However through discussion and explanation of our different thought processes and then addressed the concerns and came to a mutual agreement on how we would proceed, all by the time we finished lunch.
Looking at our options for the weekend she said, Yeah, Cloverfield looks pretty good. (SPOILERS) )
Dinner at the Melting Pot and being able to spend 2 hours at a table just talking with each other.
Making fun of ourselves, and everything else, watching our wedding video.
