I've become a Chucklehead

I don't know if that's what they call them. But it's quite clear that I've become one.

Nah, I'm not going to go posting fan-fiction, or creating videos, or plan on attending some sort of Chuck convention.

But the show has become appointment television for me. Something I actually plan my schedule around, and that's impressive now that I've got a DVR and can watch something whenever I want to. I'm actually impatient about finding out what happens "Next Week..."

Actually, it's the only thing I'm appointment watching right now. Not even House is getting watched when it actually airs.

Funny that.

I start to shake, I start to cough....

So I'm at Matt's swim lesson last night and we're finished and getting showered and changed to go and I turn to look at one of the older kids who's got a private class during my son's "Mommy & Me" session.

Aside: Incidentally there are five kids in the "Mommy & Me" session, four of them (including Matthew) are being attended to by their fathers.

Anyway, I look at this kid, he happens to be a little on the paunchy side, and I ask him how old he is.

Ten, I'm in a Level 8 class

It wasn't the swim lesson I was wondering about. It was the Police Reunion Tour concert t-shirt he was wearing.

Mercury Falling, Sting's tenth or so solo album had already been out by that point.

Damn I feel old

My box set of Series 3 of Doctor Who arrived today!

Matthew's imagination

Matthew has, this evening, in succession, had his bed time threatened by

1) A witch under the ground
2) a Tiger
3) a Jaguar
4) a Cougar

The latter three have convinced my wife that Matthew doesn't get to watch any more Go Diego Go

Stupid... stupid...

I had a little time left before I intended to crash so I turned on the DVR and started playing the JourneyMan episode from a couple weeks back.

Stayed up until the end dammit.

Not as good as Chuck but it's a good series.
