Disenchantment

I've been (even) more active in following politics of late since the FISA bill came up for re-authorization with immunity for telecoms & the like. But I have to admit even before that point I've been disenchanted with my own party (the Dems). Glenn Greenwald puts my views on the Mukasey nomination, and the current situation in general, into words far better than I could.

The best way I can use my own words to phrase it is, "I didn't think the elections of 2006 would merely change the ink on the rubber stamp."
