Xandra (lack of) Update
Jul. 21st, 2006 11:12 amWell I took Xandra to the vet yesterday. While her behavior was erratic, the vet failed to get any physical reaction (i.e. pain) from her in any spot. He checked for a UTI, but she's fine. He said he could draw blood, but that it'd essentially be a fishing expedition.
So we decided to do a test to see if she actually is feeling discomfort, or she's just upset. We're giving her some aspirin. If she perks up, then clearly something is wrong. If she doesn't, then it's something else.
"Something else," could be emotional distress resulting from the severe thunderstorms that rolled through here a few weeks ago (about the time this all started). Apparently several dogs have been suffering from anxiety since that happened.
Puzzling..
