There are two kinds of food that Matthew is pretty much guaranteed to eat. Food covered in tomato sauce, and food in some sort of Chinese brown sauce. Anything Italian, whether it be pizza or pasta, usually works for the first, while Hunan Chicken is a popular form of the second.

But it is hard to get him to eat vegetables regardless. Even with the great sauces of joy, he still will occasionally just refuse to eat. When were out, he'll not eat because he's distracted by seeing what everyone else is doing, and when we're in, well.. he just sometimes doesn't want to.

So last night we're struggling through dinner out after a long weekend. Matt's eating the little baby corns that came with his chicken but not much else. We're both a little frazzled and tired and just not really willing to try and force him to eat something more.

But then I pick up a piece of broccoli in my chopsticks and offer it to him. Whereas before he wouldn't touch the stuff, he opens wide and takes it quite easily. Pretty soon we finish off everything on his plate and my wife is chopping up more food as quickly as she can.

Well if he eats it, it works for me.

But where do you find baby sized chopsticks?
