Cruising for a Bruising
Jun. 15th, 2005 09:04 amYesterday Matthew had his first ouch report.
That's where a child is injured at daycare for one reason or another. In Matt's case he was cruising, walking with the assistance of some sort of support, when he fell, knocking his chin against the table. He also bit his tongue. How exactly one bites one's tongue when you only have two teeth is pretty darn impressive.
But he did have an ouch. Poor fellow.
Then he wouldn't fall asleep last night. Not sure what that was about. But it took him 45 minutes to crash out, as opposed to the usual under 10.
This morning included more risky behavior. First, while sitting down in the dining room, he tried to climb the step into the living room. He had himself into standing and had gotten one leg up onto the higher level, but couldn't quite put his weight there yet.
Later, when I was changing him he tried to climb up off the changing table using the rail, which resulted in him headbutting the wall.
Well.. at least he didn't seem to mind that too much... sigh
