Developing
May. 16th, 2005 01:32 pmOkay.. so I've been lax, I admit it.
Matthew, however, takes a lot of energy to keep up with. As you'll see from him sitting up in my spiffy second avatar, he's growing and developing every day.
His ability to hold and grasp things has improved dramatically over the past couple months. He feeds himself finger foods like cheerios and green beans with great dexterity. His only problem with them being that they'll stick to his wet fingers. He's not quite figure out how to put something in his mouth without putting his hand in.
He stands very well while leaning upon something, he's not quite at the point of pulling up though. That should develop soon. We continue to believe he'll never crawl (he rolls too well when he needs to move and wants to "walk" everywhere), which is a small shame. But nothing big.
The great thing though, about babies who sit up, is that you can finally leave them alone. They can play by themselves and keep themselves entertained.
