Good News and a Return to Normalcy

Matthew is up to 7 lbs 14 oz.! That means he's gained about 15 oz since his last visit to the doctor last Wednesday! It's also the first time since he was born that he's been weighed at over 7 pounds! We're very relieved and happy that he's starting to pick up steam in the growth category.
He's been very active between 9 and midnight each night, which is good, because it gives me a reason do watch the World Series, but bad, because it means I'm very tired the next morning. After all, he wakes up again at 3 and 6ish in the morning, overnight.
Second, I finally shaved and got a haircut today. I had done neither since before my son was born. Actually I was planning to get a haircut the afternoon he was born, oops, and I just never got around to shaving for the first week or so. After that, I decided I would see where my facial hair growth went.
To be honest it was kinda scraggly. Not Johnny Damon scraggly, but pretty scraggly. Though while shaving it, I stopped for a minute at the James Hetfield (lead singer of Metallica) chin hair and nothing else. I wore it better than he did, to be certain, but it still looked stupid.
Clean shaven and clean cut. Must mean I'm going back to work tomorrow.
