Not that that would happen. Since the only person I know with an internet connection in the entire county is my (not-by-blood) uncle's nephew who lives fifteen miles away from where I'm staying.
Y'see, I'm in Kentucky visiting my grandparents for their 90th birthdays. These two are such fixtures in the county they live in that the birthday celebration is a local event.
I flew in this morning, my wife didn't have enough leave and we didn't think Matthew traveling with one parent would be a good idea, and met my Dad, my sister (
legstoner), and a cousin at the airport and raced to my grandparents.
The most fun of the party was playing "Match the grandchild with the appropriate parent" with the guests. By and large the results were less than stellar. Though they usually matched
legstoner and I, which makes sense since we're siblings, the parent-child matching wasn't so-hot.
Anyway, after clean-up we went home and settled in to watch the UK-LSU football game. Unfortunately dinner arrangements, at 5:30 meant that we had to get in the car at the end of regulation, while the game was still tied.
So, after hearing it go through the first overtime, same result, most of us went into the restaurant. Not my uncle, nor the aforementioned cousin. They stayed in separate cars through two more overtimes to hear Kentucky beat the #1 ranked Tigers.
That set a very cheerful mood for the evening, even in the dry county we were in.
