Sigh...

So we had josabry and metromancer over for dinner tonight. josabry brought over her and mcmahan's belated Christmas gift to us, Stranger than Fiction. Y'see we already had the first movie they wanted to give us, we even made them watch our copy of it back in November. :)

Anyway, it turns out that Stranger than Fiction has copy protection on it that interferes with our DVD player's ability to play it. Whenever we try and get the DVD player to read it, a picture of Will Ferrell appears for about thirty seconds and then the DVD player shuts down completely.

This wouldn't be so amusingly absurd if the DVD player and the movie weren't both from Sony.
