Hmm.. I guess paying off the house doesn't count. Once I get done setting up the college fund for my son, taking care of outstanding debts, taxes and general investing stuff, probably I'd buy the new car I've not been able to decide on for the past year.

I found the wording interesting. 'First purchase' wouldn't be in the first five or six things I'd do with a lottery win. Paying off debt and other financial obligations came to mind first too. I can't think of anything I could 'buy' that would feel nearly as good as getting some millstones off my neck.
