The Frat Boy (NLAM)
Normal Liberal Alpha Male
Let's get it out of the way: You can be a giant douche sometimes. Not that this is intentional. Despite some hedonistic tendancies, you are quite well meaning, and will try and help out peers you see as socially impaired. Just keep in mind that this help is not always needed, and that, believe it or not, there is more to life than having a good time.
When dating, stay away from Beta Females; I know you don't mean to break their hearts, but it will happen. Look for the types you don't normally go for, as they will make a better match in the long run.
You are more NORMAL than QUIRKY.
You are more LIBERAL than TRADITIONAL.
You are more DOMINANT than PASSIVE.
When picking a date, consider: The Rarity (QTAF), The Renaissance Faire Wench (QLAF), or The FemiNazi (NLAF).
Avoid: Any Beta Females

9 Ukiyo-e, 0 Islamic, 0 Impressionist, -3 Cubist, -17 Abstract and -1 Renaissance!
Ukiyo-e (浮世絵, Ukiyo-e), "pictures of the floating world", is a genre of Japaneseand paintings produced between the 17th and the 20th centuries. it mostly featured landscapes, historic tales, theatre, and pleasure. Ukiyo is a rather impetuous urban culture that has bloomed in popularity. Although the Japanese were more strict and had many prohibitions it did not affect the rising merchant class and therefore became a floating art form that did not bind itself to the normal ideals of society.
People that chose Ukiyo-e art tend to be more simplistic yet elegant. They don't care much about new style but are comfortable in creating their own. They like the idea of living for the moment and enjoy giving and receiving pleasure. They may be more agreeable than other people and do not like to argue. They do not mind following traditions but are not afraid to move forward to experience other ideas in life. They tend to enjoy nature and the outdoors. They do not mind being more adventurous in their sexual experiences. They enjoy being popular and like being noticed. They have their own unique style of dress and of presenting themselves. They may also tend to be more business oriented or at the very least interested in money making adventures. They might make good entrepreneurs. They are progressive and adaptable.
Your result for The Doctor Who Companion Test...
...You march right into it. Which is really your biggest achilles heel. Your penchant to approach every problem from the completely bureaucratic angle leads you to get stuck in unfortunate circumstances all the time, leaving The Doctor to come and clean up your mess. Oh, well - some people never learn.
Comment on this post. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along.
morgeil asked about the following:
anime - Shockingly, this actually predates darkwingjhu. My first memories of anime, though I didn't have that term or even japanimation in my head at the time, were waking up early on mornings in the late 70s to catch Star Blazers. From there I moved on to Tranzor Z, Voltron, and Robotech. The first time I caught something really thinking the term anime was probably Fist of the North Star in High School. Nowadays my wife, who was hooked by darkwingjhu, and I watch a lot of serials. Currently we're watching Black Cat and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
blues music - A small part of this came from my parents, but, perhaps like all children of my generation, my primary interest in blues music came from The Blues Brothers. It introduced me to many famous artists from blues' history and my collection has extended both backwards and forwards as I love just sitting there and listening.
roleplaying games - Let's see, I played my first RPG of Dungeons & Dragons when I was.. oh.. eight or nine maybe. I created a halfling (it's a class dammit!) named Hasscotch. But to be honest, I didn't really get into RPGing until I came to college and joined HopSFA.
gilmore girls - Despite their incorrect spelling, they do share my last name and I love witty banter. This series contains one of my favorite lines ever, which I'll paraphrase, "It was just like the first twenty-five minutes of Saving Private Ryan, except they got to go to France!"
freedom of speech - I picked this one up during one of the LJ censorship flaps. But if you're going to ask me which one, I can't recall. Obviously though, I support freedom of (truthful) speech.
tilly and the wall They're a band I heard about on NPR that doesn't have a percussionist. Well aside from the tap dancer. Lots of fun
kungfu - Aside from the films that my wife and I enjoy, during the early 2000s my wife and I joined a wushu school here called Jow Ga Kung Fu. The sifu is a former marine/now county police officer and a great guy who concentrates more on teaching than on selling tests or belts for advancement. It was a great way to keep fit before we had Matthew.

The Rules: Post info about ONE Supreme Court decision, modern or historic to your lj. (Any decision, as long as it's not Roe v. Wade.) For those who see this on your f-list, take the meme to your OWN lj to spread the fun.
One I haven't seen yet is Marbury vs Madison, which established the precedent of judicial review.
Quoting the wikipedia entry for the details:
This case resulted from a petition to the Supreme Court by William Marbury, who had been appointed as Justice of the Peace in the District of Columbia by President John Adams shortly before leaving office, but whose commission was not delivered as required by John Marshall, Adams' Secretary of State. When Thomas Jefferson assumed office, he ordered the new Secretary of State, James Madison, to withhold Marbury's and several other men's commissions. Being unable to assume the appointed offices without the commission documents, Marbury and three others petitioned the Court to force Madison to deliver the commission to Marbury. The Supreme Court denied Marbury's petition, holding that the statute upon which he based his claim was unconstitutional.

Like Dionysus, you classify your life as a search for meaning and, when things go wrong, you can become manipulative. To others, you can often seem directionless and impulsive, but you make sure that everything that you do is in line with your strong, internally motivated set of moral guidelines. Your funloving streak, although your greatest asset, can sometimes prevent you from realizing goals or staying on task. As accepting as you are of other people, you have a great need to be accepted yourself, and this can sometimes lead to an overdemonstration of affection and insincerity on your part.
Famous People like you: Elvis, Eva Gabor, Paris Hilton, Elizabeth Taylor
Stay away from: Atlas, Prometheus, The Oracle, Daedalus, and Hermes.
Seek out: Pan, Dionysus, Apollo
Well I've become acquainted with (though not actually met) a number of people whom I never would have without it. Also, it feels good to be in the middle of the spectrum in parenting where I'm able to receive advice from those who are more experienced (e.g. drewshi) and share my experiences those who are considering or have just become parents (e.g. maia_maus
